OpenSolaris is an open source operating system based on Sun Microsystems' Solaris. It is also the name of the project initiated by Sun to build a developer and user community around it.

The operating system is dead. That's right, Linux, FreeBSD, Solaris, even Windows. They just don't matter anymore. XBox 360, Nintendo, PS 3, none of them matter anymore. Desktop and Server, they are all the same. The web is the great equalizer.

Fallout 3 (bad ass!) came out recently... I couldn't decide which platform to get it on. The deciding factor was that my XBox was dead, and off to MS for repair. So I got it on PS3.
